SANTA CLARITA - A 28-year-old was stabbed outside a Santa Clarita Valley bar Saturday night, but his injuries were not serious, a local sheriff’s deputy said.

Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station responded to reports of a brawl in the parking lot of Mabel’s Roadhouse on Bouquet Canyon Road in Saugus about 11:15 p.m. Saturday, said Deputy Josh Dubin.

Although there were three victims who suffered minor injuries and three people suspected of misdemeanor battery charges, only one person was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, a felony, Dubin said.

The victim was stabbed in the arm and suffered injuries not believed to be life-threatening, he said.

“There was a fight in a parking lot that ended when someone pulled out a knife,” Dubin said. “There were three victims and three suspects but only one was taken into custody.”

The suspect, a Los Angeles man, was released on bail.
