Southbound I-5 Night Closures Coming August 18 and 19 in Arleta

Arleta — The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close southbound I-5 (all lanes) in Arleta for four hours the nights of August 18 and 19, 2013. The closures are necessary to protect motorists while crews transport equipment that will be used to construct pier foundations for the new I-5/SR-170 carpool lane connector. Details below.

Closure Location

Southbound I-5 between the Osborne Street off-ramp and the Sheldon Street/Arleta Street on-ramp.

Dates/Times

Sunday, August 18, at 11:59 p.m. to Monday, August 19, at 4 a.m.Monday, August 19, at 11:59 p.m. to Tuesday, August 20, at 4 a.m.

Eastbound Osborne Street on-ramp to southbound I-5Westbound Osborne Street on-ramp to southbound I-5Terra Bella Street on-ramp to southbound I-5

Signed detours will be posted. Closures are subject to change.

No unusual levels of noise, dust or vibration are expected. Residents may hear some construction noise, but it will not exceed levels permitted by state and federal regulations.

For the safety of the construction crew and motorists, please be attentive to closures, slow for the cone zone, and move over one lane where possible.
