Looking for a delicious sub sandwich? Look no further than Final Score located at 23754 Lyons Ave., Newhall, CA 91321, open Monday-Sunday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Owner Joe Comella prides himself on serving meat with no preservatives in addition, as well as, serving no processed or pressed foods. My favorite sub is turkey with Italian dressing and pickles; always consistent and mouthwatering.

Stop by for their tasty lunch special. Hot sandwiches include meatball and cheese, Joe’s Philly cheese steak made with top choice filet mignon, mushrooms, bell peppers and onions. Cold sandwiches include Italian cold cuts, roast beef, turkey breast, veggie, egg salad and much more. If looking to cut back on your carb intake, try a salad boat offered in large or small. All salad boats include the same ingredients as a sandwich without the bread.

The staff is always friendly and courteous, which is a big plus with me, since so many restaurants just make you feel like another paying customer. Joe is very involved in the community and a big supporter of local high school sports which is evident if you just look at the walls covered floor to ceiling in team photos dating back to the 1980’s. Come in today and see what I and lots of residents in the SCV are talking about.

As always, I’m here to assist you with your marketing and advertising needs. Please contact me to schedule an appointment at (661) 287-5541 or stacy@signalscv.com. I look forward to meeting you!

What did you say? Can you repeat that? Can you turn the TV up again? Hearing loss can affect your life in many ways. Ranging from simple things like having to turn the volume up on phones and audio devices to misunderstandings during conversations all the way to fully withdrawing away from family, friends and activities. Many people say that this is just a part of the aging process, but hearing loss can affect any age. Because of this, certain types of hearing loss are minor and can often go ignored or undiagnosed for many years. Lower levels of hearing loss can include tinnitus, or ringing in the ears, or muffled sounds. I personally am having trouble with some hearing loss – as my family can attest to because I have the volume turned up on everything. Unfortunately, minor hearing loss rarely remains a minor situation, which is why this type of hearing loss needs to be professionally diagnosed and monitored for progression into more extensive hearing loss. If you think you may have any degree of hearing loss, you should have Nola Aronson’s Advanced Audiology staff evaluate your level of loss. Nola Aronson has been treating hearing loss in the Santa Clarita Valley since 1987. In 2010, she established the largest diagnostic hearing center, which is located in the heart of Santa Clarita at 23822 Valencia Blvd. Ste. 103. The staff continues to grow and with that growth, Advanced Audiology can provide even more expert care to their patients. From the moment you walk in the door to the time you leave the office with your new state of the art hearing aid – you will be given more than you expected to receive. Advanced Audiology is dedicated to ensuring you don’t miss out on the little things in life you need to hear – those little things can create memories of a lifetime. Nola Aronson is the Expert in Audiology for Signal Multimedia; you can ask her questions about your hearing concerns at: http://www.signalscv.com/ask/.

Today is the final day of the open house for the newest completely invisible hearing aid from Phonak/Lyric. There will be free screenings available with the specialists from the company, so call right now for your appointment during today’s open house event. (661) 253-3277

My favorite place to visit on a Sunday afternoon after attending church is the Tea Gardens. Have you been there before? I am obsessed. It has some of the best outdoor seating in this town, with gardens surrounding the tables and a beautiful atmosphere. Outdoor seating means my dog is invited to join us, which she loves. But let’s get to the teas… and they have a lot of teas available. Some of my favorites include their Strawberry Black, Island Green (which has hints of papaya and pineapple), and an Oolong n’ Peaches. They also have teas you’ve never even heard of… when was the last time you had a Tisane tea? Every tea you order comes served in quaint kettles that are perched over flames to keep them warm. Let’s not forget the food though; my favorite dish is a three-tiered display that comes with three finger sandwiches, a scone (pumpkin is my favorite) and three desserts. It’s the perfect place for an afternoon date, casual lunch, or a relaxing Sunday afternoon! The Tea Gardens is located at 26111 Bouquet Canyon Road by IHop.

Nominated Best Woman’s Clothing Store in 2013, Fresh Boutique in downtown Newhall has got it going on. Easy, breezy, cool clothing, paired with choice accessories and shoes, are all sure to keep us looking ‘Fresh’ for every season. I am especially fond of the ever changing inventory – always something new and ‘Fresh’. Owner, Madison, can be found at her store daily, greeting customers and chit chatting as if she is entertaining close friends in her home. It is often that one can find her fitting some of her celebrity clientele when Madison can be heard saying, “Keep it Fresh”. Well, Madison, I intend to! I invite you all to check out this gem of a store on Main Street, and when you stop by, tell them Alesia sent you.

School is back in session this week, and another class of seniors are that much closer to entering the real world and finding a profession. An option for graduates and anyone who wishes to have job ready skills is a trade or vocational school. For instance, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts that medical coding and billing will remain among the top fastest growing occupations for many years to come. Almost all of the physicians and hospitals in the USA are reliant on medical coders and billers for customer services, and, more importantly: to get paid for their medical services. With the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act looming in the near future, these positions will be even more essential to the medical industry. SCM Billing, Inc is a Valencia Medical Billing and Coding Academy that offers a training and certification program with smaller class sizes, and affordable fees. Give them a call at 661-803-1652 to learn more about a career in the medical field, and join the ranks of taxpaying Americans!
