Canyon Country: Stabbing victim released from hospital

A homeless man who was stabbed three times Sunday in Canyon Country has been released from the hospital,

The man, whose identity has not been disclosed, was treated at Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital the day of the attack, kept overnight and released the next day, sources close to the investigation said.

The victim, whose name was not released, walked into a 7-Eleven in Canyon Country on Sunday afternoon and asked the clerk to call 911 because he was stabbed. He did not provide a description of his assailant, said sheriff’s Sgt. Dean Currie.

No charges were filed.
