The Master’s College pitcher and Saugus High graduate Tommy Kister was named the summer collegiate Great Lakes League co-Pitcher of the Year and will finish out the season in the prestigious Cape Cod League.

Kister, an incoming senior at TMC, was a league best 6-0 record along with a 1.28 ERA in six starts for the Xenia Scouts.

He is now playing for the Cape’s Cotuit Kettleers, a team based in Massachusetts.

A total of 253 former Cape Cod players had played in Major League Baseball up to 2012.
