A vigil in honor of Rosemary Flynn, a Canyon Country woman who died following a fight with her boyfriend in 2010, will be held tonight at Canyon Country Park.

The annual “celebration of her life” is scheduled to take place on the third anniversary of her death, said her father Matt Flynn.

Flynn, 21, died of a fractured skull on July 31, 2010, following an argument she reportedly had with her boyfriend outside their Canyon Country apartment.

She hit her head on the asphalt after allegedly grabbing the door of a truck as her boyfriend drove it away from their Jakes Way apartment.

Bryon Jeffrey Murray, 30, of Canyon Country, was ordered to stand trial on charges of vehicular manslaughter and involuntary manslaughter in her death.

In August, more than a year after his arrest, Murray pleaded guilty to one count of vehicular manslaughter and was sentenced to four years in prison.
