This week in Saugus, Zone 4, we only had 2 reported Part-1 crimes. There was a vehicle stolen from the parking lot in the 22900 block of Soledad Canyon Road on Saturday, 07/20/13, early in the morning. Oddly enough, the vehicle was recovered in the same parking lot later that evening.

We had a vehicle burglarized in the parking lot of the Blessed Kateri Catholic Church on Sunday, 07/21/13, between 8:00 AM and 9:45 AM. The victim returned to her vehicle to discover her driver’s side window shattered. After inspecting her vehicle she discovered her purse and other items missing.

With the above mentioned crimes included, the crime rate for Saugus is down 51.76% from this time last year. With the combination of proactive deputies patrolling in Saugus and the alert citizens reporting suspicious activities, we have been able to bring the crime rate down to an all-time low. Let’s keep up the good work and keep Saugus safe.

If you have any information regarding the above mentioned crimes please call the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station at 661-255-1121.
