City seeks grown-up volunteers for Cowboy Fest

Attention, wanna-be cowpersons

The city of Santa Clarita is looking for local adults to volunteer at the 2009 Cowboy Festival, taking place across the city from Wednesday, April 22 through Sunday, April 26. 

Numerous positions are available for volunteers to work at the Cowboy Festival at Melody Ranch Motion Picture Studio and other related kick-off events taking place prior to the festival weekend.

Those interested in applying must submit a volunteer form, available at the city's Community Services Office, located inside the Activities Center, by Friday, March 27.

Forms must be submitted via mail to "Volunteers - Cowboy Festival," City of Santa Clarita - Mezzanine, 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway, Santa Clarita, CA 91350."

All prospective volunteers must attend a mandatory Volunteer Round-Up on Thursday, March 19 at 7:00 p.m. at City Hall's Council Chambers, 23920 Valencia Blvd., Valencia 91355. For more information on the 2009 Cowboy Festival, visit www.cowboyfestival.org.

The Activities Center is located in the Santa Clarita Sports Complex at 20880 Centre Pointe Parkway in Canyon Country.
