BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP) — Police say two people have been shot to death at a medical marijuana dispensary in Bakersfield.

Police spokeswoman Michaela Beard says officers received a call around 10 a.m. Wednesday to report a shooting inside the First Reliable collective.

Beard says two people were found dead inside the building. A dark-colored SUV was seen speeding from the area with a man and a woman inside.

Police say they don't yet know who the victims are.

The Bakersfield Californian reports that a woman says she heard from a family friend that one of the victims was her 23-year-old son.

The woman says her son worked as an unarmed security guard at the shop about 100 miles north of Los Angeles.
