My name is Deputy Joshua Dubin, Zone Leader for the Newhall (Zone 6) area. Your zone leader, Deputy Manskar is on vacation this week. I reviewed and prepared a detailed report for Deputy Manskar this week for Saugus (Zone 4). During the above dates, Saugus saw three reported part one crimes within the city limits of zone 4 (Saugus). Of those three crimes, Saugus had one residential burglary, one petty theft, and one stolen vehicle reported.

A residential burglary was reported from the 28300 block of WelFleet Lane in Saugus. Money and jewelry were reported stolen. The victim’s son had his friend living at the home during the incident. One male has been arrested in this case and detectives are investigating a possible second suspect. No further information is being released at this time (ref -09005).

A petty theft was reported from Mabel’s Roadhouse located on the 26300 block of Bouquet Canyon Road in Saugus. A female victim left her iPhone, purse, and other items on one of the tables inside the location at approximately 1:05am. She walked away and returned to discover the items were no longer there. Deputies responded and the suspect was ultimately arrested for an outstanding arrest warrant, possession of marijuana, and the victim signed a private person’s arrest for the petty theft (ref -08977).

A 2000 Toyota Corolla was reported stolen from the 27400 block of Arriola Avenue in Saugus. The vehicle was recovered the next day on the 26800 block of Isabella Parkway in Canyon Country (ref -09073).
