Account executives are working with a number of small Santa Clarita businesses this week who attended the Signal Multimedia’s free educational seminar to help business owners sort through the mass of options they have to promote their companies in today’s digital world.

There are still openings for other businesses that would like the one-on-one consulting Signal Multimedia is providing — in concert with a company that specializes in helping companies in the digital age.

The team of account executives is offering local companies an affordable service to expand their customer reach online by using cutting-edge digital strategies that allow them to attract the right customers for their business and monitor results, while managing and protecting their company’s reputation at the same time.

“Small businesses generally don’t have online experts on the payroll,” said Andrew Loughlin, executive advertising sales manager for The Signal.

“Business owners are busy growing their business and often need a resource they can turn to that can help them navigate through all the multimedia options; and actually track their results so they know what works and what doesn’t,” Loughlin said.

In seminars held this past week, the Signal Multimedia group brought in keynote speaker Mike Blinder, president of multimedia marketing company The Blinder Group, to address the countless choices today’s businesses have to market their products or services.

“Companies spend an average of 6 percent of gross sales for marketing,” Blinder said.

But, they also need to know how to optimize their reach and create useful online links to reach targeted customers.
One of the key points Mike Blinder likes to make is “are your customers finding you online, or your competitor?” Loughlin said.

After seminars this week, Jill Mellady, president of Mellady Direct Marketing, said she understands how to integrate social media into a marketing plan, but she feels the multimedia tool being offered will help her company streamline the process so much more and enable the company to track the success of its own social media programs.

“And, the price is right,” Mellady said. “It’s very reasonable for the tools that you’re going to get to track your marketing.”

For those businesses that merely meet with the Signal Multimedia team, they also receive a free copy of Blinder’s book “Survival Selling Even in the Toughest Times.”

The book is a complimentary business to business sales guide based on Blinder’s experience working with over 350 media companies around the world, and over 60,000 businesses that are using a digital marketing solutions tool designed by his company — but being made available to local businesses by The Signal.
