Driving is a hazard in the SCV

I wonder if anyone with authority is paying attention to what is going on in the Santa Clarita Valley.

I moved here thinking I would be closer to my children, which I am enjoying. Valencia is a pretty place and very clean and well maintained.

However little did I know that when you get in your car here, you are really taking a chance? I cannot believe how very dangerous it is to go anywhere.

The drivers are extremely rude, laying on the horn, will not let you change into another lane, no caution at intersections, no warning of all the right-hand turn lanes, especially the double ones.

The speed limits are 45 and 50 mph.

People are rushing not to have to wait at the long lights.

I notice more homes being built, which means more traffic. I fear for my children living here. Every day I hear the sirens.

I am moving back to where I came from where the drivers are courteous and cautious.

You may think I am not used to driving much. Well, I have lived in many towns and have been a real estate agent for 18 years.

This is the worst town that I have ever been so frightened to drive in.

Just felt I needed to tell someone who I hope cares and is able to do something about it.

Lower those speed limits, and put some restrictions on so many new homes and population growth.

You must realize that something needs to be done for the safety of the community.
