Chloride fees and scientific studies

This is about the chloride situation. The Ventura County farmers say chloride harms their crops.

Has there been a complete scientific study supporting this, or is it just their opinion?

Also, it is stated each household will pay the same fee. I find this very unfair.

I am 75 years old and I live alone with my three dogs. I do one laundry load each week and take three short showers each week.

Maybe 90 percent of my water usage is on my lawns, fruit trees and other plants.

Is it fair that I, and others like me, should pay the same as households with from four to 12 members? There is a home two houses down from me that is shared by three families.

I get a discount on my trash collection; can’t they figure something into this chloride fee, too, so it is reasonable to the amount of water that goes into the sewage line?

I know one thing: If we have to pay this fee, I will never buy another avocado or strawberry.
