Western building sold

The Western-style commercial building at 23101 Lyons Ave. in Newhall has been sold.

An iconic Western-style commercial property located at 23101 Lyons Ave. in Newhall was sold by NAI Capital, the commercial realty firm announced.

The buyer was Oak Plaza LLC, an Arcadia company. The seller’s identity was not disclosed.

The value of the transaction was reported in excess of $2.6 million.

Built in 1977, the 12,892 square foot property had a total assessed value of nearly $1.6 million in 2012.

Located near the Metrolink train station, downtown Newhall and the city’s newest library, the building has numerous tenants occupying storefronts there.

Representing the seller were Encino-based agents Jeremy Barbakow, senior vice president and Adam Comora, vice president for NAI Capital.
