A man and a woman were arrested, two pit bulls seized and methamphetamines recovered Wednesday after heavily-armed Santa Clarita Valley sheriff’s deputies searched a Valencia home in connection with an ongoing investigation, a sheriff’s deputy said.

Detectives and deputies with the Crime Impact Team and the Crime Prevention Team executed a search warrant for narcotics at a home in the Summit area of Valencia about 7 a.m. Wednesday, said Deputy Josh Dubin.

The home was on Tossano Drive at Coloretti Court.

“Two people went to jail — a female adult and a male adult,” Dubin said. “We also called Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control, who took two pit bulls out of the house.”

Deputies recovered methamphetamines, Dubin said.

“We’ve had numerous calls from residents regarding the animals living in the house,” Dubin said.

Animal Control officers, who had reportedly been at the house earlier this month, were conducting their own investigation, he said.

At least two of the three pit bulls at the residence were taken by an officer with the Los Angeles County Department of Animal Care and Control.

Residents told The Signal the home that was searched sees a lot of traffic throughout the day and night.

“It’s a like a drive-through — a fast-food drive-through,” said one woman who lives on the street.

The woman said the home was the focus of concern for residents two weeks ago when one of the three pit bulls got loose “and chased someone.”

Another Tossano resident described the constant traffic as “a variety of vehicles.”
