Local arts organizations host a screening of the new award-winning film "Who Does She Think She is?" on Saturday, March 28 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Emanuel Healing Arts, home of Goddess Fitness, located at 26635 Valley Center Dr., Suites 102 and 103, Santa Clarita 91351.

Produced by the same team that won an Academy Award for "Born into Brothels," "Who Does She Think She is?" examines some of the most pressing balancing-act issues for women in our time -- parenting and work, partnering and independence, economics and art.

Directed and produced by Pamela Tanner Boll and edited and co-directed by Nancy C. Kennedy, the film follows five women artists as they navigate the economic, psychological and spiritual challenges of making art outside the elite art world.

From studios in Cambridge and Providence to the suburbs of Ohio, from Hawaii's Big Island to New York City, New Mexico and the tropics of St. Vincent, we watch as these women, ranging in age from 27 to 65, fight to honor their creative vision and their families every day.

This is a wonderful film for mothers who nurture the creative muse as well as their families, and is a must-see for women artists and the men and families who love them. View the trailer at www.whodoesshethinksheis.net.

The evening also includes a panel discussion, an art gallery and complimentary hors d'oeuvres.

The event is produced by Rene Urbanovich and With Song; Emma Tyler and Goddess Fitness; Shawneen Rubay and Ma Maison Creative Gifts; and Andrea Slominski and McLaren's.

Tickets are $20.00 and can be purchased by advance reservation and check payment to Rene Urbanovich in care of Goddess Fitness (see above for address).
