A six-vehicle collision on the northbound Interstate 5 near Highway 14 resulted in one fatality, one injury and closed all but one lane of the freeway Saturday morning, officials said.
The injured individual was transported to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital.
A sig-alert was issued around the time of the collision, closing every lane except the carpool lane.
“Initially, we had pretty much everything closed,” said Sgt. P. Haggard of California Highway Patrol.
All six lanes have been open since 9:10 a.m. according to CHP.
The collision was reported at 6 a.m.
