The Golden Valley girls tennis team beat Canyon High, 13-5, on Thursday at Canyon.

The Grizzlies, 2-6 in Foothill League play, won seven of nine sets in doubles.

Singles Kirsten Azarraga, Joyce Kim and Helene Sarpong each won two sets for Golden Valley.

Adrienne Kashay won three sets for Canyon (1-11, 0-8).

Valencia 15, Saugus 3

Megan Cho, a right hander, won two sets for the Centurions, one of them left-handed against her friend Kate Zeile, Valencia’s No. 2.

Zeile switched to her left hand earlier this month because of a broken bone in her right hand, and she won two of the three games Cho played using her off hand.

Valencia (11-7, 7-1) will host West Ranch on Tuesday with a chance to earn a share of the league title.

Saugus is 4-9 overall and 3-5 in league play.

West Ranch 18, Hart 0

Jordyn McBride and Nicole Alvarez both won three sets, all 6-0. The pairings of Dani Hettinger and Brittany Waugh; and Cori Raffish and Quinterra Walter-Eze each won three sets.

The Wildcats (14-2 overall, 8-0 in league) will play at Valencia on Tuesday. A West Ranch win can secure an outright league title.

Hart is 6-7 overall and 4-4 in league play.
